Lahore: Top position holder girl and boy students currently on a tour to Punjab on the invitation of Punjab government today visited GC University, King Edward Medical University (KEMU) and Arfa Karim IT Centre.
During their visit to GC University, senior professors informed the students about the history of the university and prominent personalities of different departments. Vice Chancellor GC University while talking to the students said that visit of delegations from all over the world to Punjab is the proof of special interest of Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif in education. Later, the students visited King Edward Medical University.
Vice Chancellor KEMU while addressing the delegation said that this university is one of the ancient universities of the world and people after completing their education are rendering their services in the medical sector throughout the world. During the visit of students to IT Centre, they were informed in detail about the steps taken by the Punjab government in IT sector.
The members of the delegation said that setting up of IT University will result in bringing a real change in the field of education and information technology and such universities should be set up in every province. The students thanked Punjab Chief Minister on best arrangements and paid rich tributes to him on his revolutionary measures in education sector. They said that the measures taken by Punjab Chief Minister in education sector are unprecedented and the day is not far off when people of the whole Punjab will benefit from these steps.
DG Protocol and other senior officers also accompanied the delegation. Earlier, a luncheon was also hosted in the honor of the delegation by KEMU.
