Dengue Control Programme is still in planning:Spokesman

Lahore: A spokesman of Health Department Punjab has categorically denied that the Punjab Dengue Control Programme is being closed down. He said that no such proposal is under consideration. The spokesman further said that Punjab Dengue Control Programme is being run as a project and the Health Department has already sent a summary for the extension of the programme to Planning & Development Department.

The spokesman further informed that sufficient funds are available and the salaries for the month of November 2012 will be paid to the employees of the programme within 2-3 days. Moreover, timely payment of the salaries for the month of December 2012 would also be ensured.
