Lahore: Provincial Women Development Department will hold a seminar at district level on December 14 at 10 a.m. at Town Hall in connection with working women day. Advisor to Punjab Chief Minister, Begum Zakia Shahnawaz will preside over the seminar while Begum Shaista Pervaiz Malik will be guest of honor.
Secretary Women Development Department Punjab Irum Bukhari while presiding over a high level meeting reviewed the arrangements for holding seminars in all the districts and as a focal person, issued directions to all the concerned departments to inform the women through these seminars about the steps of Punjab government regarding welfare of the women and the importance of working women.
Irum Bukhari said that women of every walk of life will benefit from the package introduced by the government. She said that women package and comprehensive policy for working women will result in their participation in the national mainstream, legal protection and economic stability.
Irum Bukhari further informed the meeting that Begum Shaista Pervaiz Malik will monitor district seminars and walk in Lahore while Begum Zakia Shahnawaz and she will monitor other districts.
