Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League President Senator Ch Shujat Hussain has said that there is no question of delay in elections, these will be held on their time, caretaker set up will come only after completion of the tenure of the govt and procedure should be evolved for the making of new provinces.
He said while talking to media after offering condolences with senior journalist Salman Ghani over the demise of his mother at his residence here today. He was accompanied by Salik Hussain on the occasion.
Ch Shujat Hussain said that in the recent bye-elections orders of the Election Commission not implemented. He said in the context of counting of votes, wherever the candidates are demanding, recounting of the votes should be dome to remove the reservations of the candidates.
He said after pinpointing of bogus voters in the voters lists in Karachi, such a demand can also be made from any other part of the country adding that if any such demand is made then voters’ lists should also be rechecked there. Ch Shujat Hussain said that PML believes in performance rather than manifesto, Imran Khan would have been more successful if he had stuck to his point for change.
Talking about in the context of new provinces, Ch Shujat Hussain said that wherever there is need for new province in the country, new province should be made, there is sense of deprivation among the people of South Punjab as such new province should be made there, according to their demand because there are many other problems which should be essentially solved and for this a procedure should be evolved.
In reply to questions, Ch Shujat Hussain said that elections will be held in Balochistan but situation has deteriorated the most in Karachi.
In response to a question about Mian Manzoor Wattoo, he said we have no reservations about him, it is the internal matter of their party which can make anyone the President, we have no concern with it.
