Daily Times staffers attempt for suicide in Islamabad

Islamabad: There is strong rumor in the city that two of Daily Times staffers have attempted suicide to get rid of the problems that they were facing due to non payment of their salaries. As per the info, provided by some journalists here in Islamabad that two employees of Daily Times Islamabad attempted to suicide due to non-payment of salaries to the staff for last many months. However with the blessing of God, they were saved from fellow colleagues.

According to Daily Tme staff,the ruthless attitude of management of Daily Times especially Shehyar Taseer and Amna Taseer has pushed the employees to literally starvation. Daily Times Islamabad staff also went on strike after this incident. If any mishap happened to anybody, owner and editor would be responsible. They called for the trade unions and journalistic bodies to stand with the unfortunate employees of this newspaper.
