Corrupt rulers have given nothing to the masses except problems:CM Punjab

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that the corrupt rulers have given nothing to the masses except problems, darkness and despondency. He said that according to the report of an international institution, corruption of seven billion rupees is daily being committed in the country and the loot and plunder of resources has pushed the country to the brink of disaster. He said that there is a need to change the existing corrupt system and rid the country of corrupt rulers. He said that the political opponents are in a state of shock over the thumping success of Muslim League-N in bye-elections. He said that Allah Almighty be praised for the victory of PML-N in bye-elections which is due to love of the people for Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, solid policies of the party and the welfare programmes of Punjab government. He said that Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif is a ray of hope for the people of Pakistan and under his leadership all problems being faced by the country will be overcome.

He was addressing a meeting of Pakistan Muslim League-N assembly members and party workers in Raiwind today. President PML-N Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, provincial ministers, assembly members and Muslim League candidates who won the recent bye-elections were present on the occasion. Congratulating the PML-N candidates on their glorious victory, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif stressed upon them to utilize all their energies for the solution of people’s problems and serve the masses with dedication. He said that the thumping success of PML-N is a result of public service, party policies and the merit policy of the Punjab government. He expressed the hope that PML-N will also win the forthcoming general election. He said that Punjab government has taken solid steps for elimination of corruption from the province. He said that land record computerization project will be completed next year and will eliminate corruption and rid the people of exploitation by patwaris.

President Pakistan Muslim League-N Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif while felicitating the party candidates on their victory in bye-elections said that it was due to blessings of Allah Almighty. He said that the winning candidates should work harder and serve the people selflessly for further victories in the forthcoming general elections. He said that there is a need to get rid of those elements as have pushed the country towards problems and crisis. He said had the democratic setup not been toppled on October 12, 1999, Pakistan would have joined the ranks of developed countries. He said that though the rulers have obtained loans of billions of dollars but the national institutions are still in a state of ruination because the rulers have neither the policies nor the wisdom to steer the country out of darkness. He said that Pakistan is facing serious challenges as energy crisis, terrorism and extremism and there is a need for strenuous efforts for overcoming problems. He said that destiny of the country can be changed through hard work and sincerity. He said that if given opportunity by Allah Almighty, Pakistan will again be put on the road to development and prosperity. He appreciated the merit policy of Punjab government and said that it has ensured the rights of the deserving persons. He said that problems of the people can be resolved through correct policies, strong economy and good governance.

PML-N leader and Member National Assembly Hamza Shahbaz Sharif while addressing the meeting said that people of Pakistan love Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and support his policies due to which a thumping victory has been achieved in the bye-elections. He said that PML-N has emerged as the strongest party of the country and is determined to solve all its problems. He expressed determination that Pakistan will be transformed in accordance with the ideals of Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Muhammad Iqbal under the leadership of Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif. PML-N leader Ch. Jaffar Iqbal also spoke on the occasion.
