Media is threat for corruption of Government:Aleem Khan

Lahore: Leader of PTI, Abdul Aleem Khan has said that the vibrant media is a threat for the corruption of the government otherwise the present rulers would have more looted the national exchequer. He said that for devising the progressive society media has to play its role is the system and PTI after coming into power would accord more liberty to the newspapers and channels. He said that like any other segment of society, journalists were also affected from the deteriorating economic situation and Tehirk-e-Insaaf would provide special facilities to the journalist community.

He was talking at the luncheon hosted by him in honour of office bearers of Lahore Press Club which was attended by the President of Club Arshad Ansari and others while ex-MPA Shoaib Siddiqui, Nazir Chohan, Hammad Azhar, Nasrullah Moghal, Dr. Shahid Siddique, Abdul Rasheed Bhatti and Jamil Asghar Bhatti.

Abdul Aleem Khan said that media has played a vital role in popularity of PTI and due to channels and newspapers message of Imran Khan has spread throughout the country. He said that in the coming elections consensus would play an important role which is to be built by media as well. He assured all out cooperation for the Lahore Press Club.

President, Lahore Press Club, Arshad Ansari thanked Abdul Aleem Khan for hosting lunch and briefed him on the Journalist Colony and other issues being faced by the Press Club.
