Ch Brothers say people have rejected “lota” politics of Punjab rulers

Lahore: Newly-elected MPA from Narowal Omar Sharif has attributed his success to the leaders of the Pakistan Muslim League who awarded him ticket and got him elected against the father of Chief “Lota” of the Punjab Assembly.

He said this after calling on Pakistan Muslim League President Senator Ch Shujat Hussain and senior central leader and Deputy Prime Minister Ch Parvez Elahi at their residence here today to express his gratitude to them. MNA Tariq Anees, Haji Muhammad Abdul Hameed, Central Joint Secretary Sufi Muhammad Anwar and Chaudhry Hamdoon were also present.

Ch Shujat Hussain and Ch Parvez Elahi said that the people have rejected “lota” politics of the Punjab rulers, PML alliance with the Peoples Party will gain more strength in the next general elections, PML vote bank has further increased as compared to 2008. They said that there is no political figure in Pakistan presently who can say that he is popular among the people from Khyber to Karachi, those who consider themselves to be popular among the masses are living in fool’s paradise, they would realize very soon that the people are not going to trust their false promises this time.

Continuing, they maintained that Pakistan Muslim League is the party of the masses in which everyone has the right to express himself and in 2008 general elections we secured representation in all the four Provincial Assemblies adding that in future we will get more votes than before and plead for the rights of the people.

On this occasion, newly-elected MPA Omar Sharif thanked Ch Shujat Hussain and Ch Parvez Elahi on awarding him the party ticket.
