Lahore: Rescue 1122 marked “International Volunteers Day” on Wednesday and Rescue Volunteers pledged to render their services for development of safe communities working shoulder-to-shoulders with the rescuers of Punjab Emergency Service in future.
Upon directions of Dr. Rizwan Naseer, Director General Punjab Emergency Service Rescue 1122, all the district emergency officers (DEOs) organized awareness walks involving volunteers enrolled with Rescue 1122 besides participation of other volunteer’s organizations. The purpose of these walks was to highlight the importance of volunteerism and recognize their services for the development of safe communities.
District Emergency Officers addressed the rescue volunteers and appreciated their passion and efforts for the Service and the society. They also communicated the message of thanks and recognition by DG Rescue for their contribution towards prevention of emergencies. DG Rescue in his message urged volunteers to take ownership of their communities and play their part for emergency prevention to develop safe communities.
