KBD should not be constructed without Sindh green signal:Nawaz Sharif

Lahore: President Pakistan Muslim League-N Muhammad Nawaz Sharif presided over a consultative meeting of PML-N Sindh today.

Syed Ghaus Ali Shah, Liaqat Jatoi, Elahi Buksh Sumro, Ameer Buksh Bhutto, Shah Muhammad Shah, Shafi Jamoot, Maqbool Shah, Dr. Bahadur Dahri, Manzoor Panoor, Sardar Suleman Baledi, Hamid Bhand, Irfan Ullah Marwat, Imdad Chandio, Dr. Muzaffar Raisani, Nehal Hashmi, Marvi Memon, Zahida Bhand, Surath Thebo, Zain Ansari, Mir Sajjad Baledi, Mir Jabbar Baledi, Agha Imtiaz Ali, Nawab Abu Bakar Talpur, Nawab Zubair Talpur, Hakeem Baloch, Sardar Akbar Khan Sher, Mahesh Kumar Taleja, Shafiq Khoso, Zaid Talpur, Babu Sarfraz Jatoi, Central Secretary General Pakistan Muslim League-N Iqbal Zafar Jhagra, Ahsan Iqbal, Pervaiz Rashid, Mushahidullah Khan and various leaders from Sindh attended the meeting.

PML-N leaders from Sindh gave their views regarding prevalent political situation and the forthcoming general elections. Addressing the meeting Muhammad Nawaz Sharif said that Muslim League-N is a national party and its presence in all the four provinces is a guarantee to the solidarity of the country and equal opportunities of development. He said that had distribution of lakhs of acres of state land among landless Haris of Sindh and the efforts for restoration of peace in Karachi not been sabotaged through Musharraf dictatorship there would have been prosperity in the rural life of Sindh and Karachi would have become a safe city. Nawaz Sharif further said that PML-N played its role to ensure completion of the tenure of the parliament in respect to the mandate to the people but Asif Zardari tried to paralyze the provincial assembly of Punjab even before the first year of general elections was over. He said that had Zardari’s attempts not been checked he would have taken several such steps which would have weakened democracy in the country.

Muhammad Nawaz Sharif said that when he visits Sindh he is pained at the pathetic conditions of the Sindhi people whose problems have increased. He said that affectees of rain and floods are still shelterless while the people of Karachi are also scared and worried. Nawaz Sharif said that it is a collective responsibility to accelerate our efforts to provide such an environment to the people of Sindh as well as other provinces under which the Sindhi people could be delivered of poverty, ignorance disease, unemployment and lawlessness and could live peacefully and enjoy educational, health and employment opportunities.
