Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that if the direction is right, and there is a spirit of hard work and commitment, all hurdles in the way of progress of Pakistan can be removed and the motherland made a garden of flowers. He said that we have made Lahore a beautiful city by introducing modern system of cleanliness and promoting horticulture. He said that the way garbage has been removed from the provincial metropolis, similarly, the politicians can clear the dirt of political system jointly and hurdles can be removed. He said that holding of flowers exhibition is a welcoming step due to which beautiful environment has been made available to the citizens.
He expressed these views while talking to media after inaugurating the Gul-e-Dawoodi exhibition at Jillani Park (Race Course) here today. Members National and Provincial Assembly, Chairman Solid Waste Management Company Kh. Ahmed Hassaan, Advisor Begum Zakiya Shahnawaz, Director General PHA and a large number of people were present on the occasion. Director General PHA gave a briefing about the exhibition of flowers.
While inaugurating the flowers exhibition, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that arranging flowers exhibition jointly by Pakistan Horticultural Society and PHA in the provincial metropolis is a praiseworthy step which is providing a beautiful environment to the visitors and they are enjoying the fragrance of flowers. The Chief Minister said that the flowers have been decorated in a highly professional manner and visitors feel great pleasure to see them. He said that Pakistan Horticultural Society and PHA deserve congratulation over holding such an excellent flowers exhibition. He said that both institutions have created a beautiful environment and the persons tired due to work will enjoy this atmosphere here. He said that the efforts of the members of PHA and Horticulture Society for arranging such a beautiful flowers exhibition are commendable. Shahbaz Sharif said that due to the efforts of Solid Waste Management, garbage has been removed from Lahore City and now this city gives more clean and beautiful look than before. He said that the country can also be made more beautiful by working with the same spirit.
Earlier, Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif formally inaugurated the exhibition of Gul-e-Dawoodi and took round of it. The Chief Minister also appreciated the decoration of flowers and landscaping.
