People will reject dacoits in the coming elections:Shahbaz Sharif

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said people are fully aware of the fact that the incapable federal rulers have broken all records of corruption during four and a half years whereas Punjab government of Pakistan Muslim League-N has set new records of service to the masses and promotion of transparency. He said that those having one point agenda of loot and plunder have made alliance but the future of this gang which looted the national resources ruthlessly is dark.

The Chief Minister said that people will reject these dacoits, thieves and looters in the coming elections. He said that the previous Punjab government of the dictatorial era was the most corrupt government which utilized the resources of the province only for achieving personal interests and now on being elections near, they are making futile efforts to prove themselves well-wishers of the people in disguise.

He was talking to the Members Assembly belonging to various districts. Shahbaz Sharif said that era of hoodwinking the conscious people has passed and people have become fully aware of those who deprived them of the fruits of democratic government. He said that neither electricity nor gas is available to the citizens according to their requirement. He said that achievement of power was never the goal of PML-N but we believe in service to the people. He said that a dacoity of 70 billion rupees was committed in Punjab Bank during the tenure of previous Punjab government and Lahore-Kasur Road was also a proof of the corruption of the former rulers.

He said that kickbacks were taken and worst corruption was made in every project including Bab-e-Pakistan Project. Shahbaz Sharif said that Punjab government of PML-N after coming into power, changed the graveyards of corruption of previous era into minarets of development. He said that present Punjab government introduced the culture of merit and transparency and there is no stigma of corruption during the last four and a half years. He said that our development projects are a clear proof of transparency and the international institutions have also acknowledged the steps of Punjab government based on merit and transparency. Mentioning metro bus project, Shahbaz Sharif said that this project is a part of the process of providing modern facilities to the people which will change the standards of transport sector.

He said that the elements criticizing this project are those who are perturbed due to not having opportunities of corruption in Punjab. The Chief Minister asked the Assembly Members to monitor the pace and quality of ongoing development works in their respective areas and apprised him of the progress directly. Members Assembly, expressing their satisfaction over the policies of Punjab government, said that people are fully aware of the performance of present government and consider PML-N under the leadership of Muhammad Nawaz Sharif their ray of hope in the coming elections.
