Lahore: Punjab Assembly’s former Deputy Speaker Mian Manzoor Mohal’s nephew Mian Salman Mohal called on Pakistan Muslim League senior central leader and Deputy Prime Minister Ch Parvez Elahi at the State Guest House here today and announced to quit N-League and join PML. He was accompanied by former District Nazim Bahawalpur Tariq Bashir Cheema, former MPA Syed Irfan Gardezi and Chairman Punjab Flour Mills Association Ch Abdul Jabbar.
Mian Salman Mohal will contest Provincial Assembly elections from PP-280 Bahawalnagar on PML ticket. N-League MPA Asif Manzoor Mohal has also announced to support him.
Speaking on the occasion, Ch Parvez Elahi said that we have very old relationship with politically important Mohal family, our hearts beat in unison with the people of South Punjab, we had undertaken massive development works in different fields to remove their sense of deprivation and because of this, people still remember our tenure speak well and pray for us. Ch Parvez Elahi further said that in the next general elections N-League will remain isolated and wiped out from the Punjab, we are establishing contacts with other political and religious parties.
On this occasion Mian Salman Mohal said that elders of the Mohal family from Bahawalnagar have unanimously allowed him to contest the elections, he was associated with N-League which claims to be the party of the people but Shahbaz Sharif is not aware about sorrows and pains of the people and he is victim of personalized dictatorship. He said his father late Muhammad Khan Mohal, Deputy Commissioner retired, and uncle former PA Deputy Speaker Mian Manzoor Mohal always did politics of principles, N-League’s sitting MPA and his cousin Mian Asif Manzoor Mohal advised him to contest next elections on the ticket of Pakistan Muslim League adding that he has already announced in the constituency that he will not contest elections in future on N-League ticket.
Meanwhile,Member Provincial Assembly from Bahawalnagar, Muhammad Asif Mohal has strongly contradicted the news item that he has announced his support for Q League. Describing this news item as baseless, Asif Mohal said that he is in PML-N and will remain in the same party.
