Former MNA from Layyah Sardar Ghulam Farid Meerani joins PML-Q

Lahore: Former MNA from Layyah Sardar Ghulam Farid Khan Meerani called on Pakistan Muslim League senior central leader and Deputy Prime Minister Ch Parvez Elahi at his residence here today and announced to join PML-Q.

Federal Minister for Defense Production Sardar Bahadur Khan Sehar, former MNA Malik Niaz Muhammad Jhakkar, Advisor to the Prime Minister Imtiaz Ahmad Warraich and other leaders were also present on the occasion.

Deputy Prime Minister Ch Parvez Elahi said that the PML is the real spokesman of the aspirations of the people, we had undertaken unprecedented development works during our tenure in South Punjab and the party has chalked out a comprehensive plan to bring the South Punjab in the mainstream of national development implementation of which we would start, Insha-Allah, after the elections. He said that the people of the South Punjab are still remembering the services rendered for their welfare and well-being during our tenure, now they clearly see the difference during present regime and our tenure. Ch Parvez Elahi said that the process of development which was continuing during our tenure is not visible to the people of the South Punjab now because it has been stopped by the present rulers of the province out of their enmity towards people of the South Punjab.
Federal Minister Sardar Bahadur Khan Sehar said that the Pakistan Muslim League has served the people of the South Punjab in real sense, they are still remembering the tenure of the Muslim League and as such they would also work for victory of the PML in the next elections.
Ch Parvez Elahi felicitated Sardar Ghulam Farid Khan Meerani and his colleagues on joining the Pakistan Muslim League.
