Lahore: In the light of the announcement of Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, Ameer-ud-Din Medical College set up in the provincial metropolis with 100 seats is starting its educational session this year and all arrangements in this regard are being completed expeditiously. This college will be affiliated with Lahore General Hospital. While implementing the instructions of Health Department Punjab, the management of Services Medical Institute has started vacating its offices set up in the PGMI building where the classes of new medical college are going to be started. Various parts of PGMI building were under the use of Services Medical Institute for the last eight years.
Principal Postgraduate Medical Institute and General Hospital Prof. Anjum Habib Vohra while talking to media said that the quality educational facilities will be available to the male and female students getting admission in Ameer-ud-Din Medical College particularly the students will benefit from the high-quality teaching expertise of the faculty members already teaching the postgraduate classes in PGMI. He said that the establishment of new medical college is the need of the hour for meeting the medical requirements of the increasing population of the country. He said that the Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has proved himself the great patron of medical institutions by setting up this medical college.
