Code of conduct violation will not be tolerated: Zulifqar Khosa

Lahore:Chairman Cabinet Committee Muharram-ul-Haram Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa while taking serious notice of refusing recording of speeches being made in the Majalis and violation of code of conduct in some districts has directed concerned police officers and officials of special branch to submit a detailed report in this regard.

He gave this direction while presiding over a special meeting held in connection with Moharramul Haram at Darbar Hall Civil Secretariat today. Excise & Taxation Minister Mian Mujtaba Shujaur Rehman, Special Assistants to CM Jehanzeb Barki, Kh. Salman Rafiq, Members of national and provincial assembly Bilal Yasin, Mehr Ishtiaq Ahmad, Dr. Asad Ashraf, Aajasam Sharif, Hafiz Mian Muhamamd Noman, Secretary Home, Commissioner Lahore Division, DIG Police, Additional IG Special Branch and concerned officers of other departments were also present on the occasion. Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa warned that after the settlement of all matters about security and code of conduct, no violation will be tolerated in this regard. He said that protection of the people during Moharramul Haram is top priority and strict action will be taken on any violation.

Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa directed the police officials to strictly monitor the performance of police officials deputed on majalis and the routes of processions. He said that strict checking should be made in those districts which are linked with border areas. He called for a clearance report on the routes of processions by tomorrow so that he could submit this report to Chief Minister after visiting again to these routes.

Senior Advisor especially asked the ministers, members of national and provincial assembly present in the meeting to ensure their presence in the meetings regarding arrangements of Moharram and also keep close liaison with people of all sects in their constituency so that protection of the people could be ensured during Moharramul Haram.
