Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Syed Munawar Hasan, and JI Secretary General, Liaqat Baloch, have strongly condemned the suicide attack on the caravan of the former JI Ameer, Qazi Husain Ahmed, in Mehmand Agency. They have called upon the federal and the provincial government to expose the forces behind the attack, arrest the culprits and award them a deterrent punishment.
In a joint statement, the JI central leaders said the suicide attack had proved the helplessness of the government. The enemies of Islam and Pakistan were freely moving in every part of the country and the entire nation knew this fact. Terrorists of the US, Indian and Israeli agencies were roaming about openly while the Pakistani rulers were still an ally of the US in the so called war against terror and had also declared India as a Most Favourite Nation.
Syed Munawar Hasan said that the tall claims of the government high ups to crush the terrorists had died down under the thunder of the bomb blasts occurring daily. No corner of the country was safe from terrorist activities. The situation in Karachi and Balochistan made one’s heart bleed. Similarly, the government in Sindh had failed to maintain law and order and protect the life and property of the citizens. As long as the target killers, extortionists were sitting in the Sindh government, such crimes could not end.
Syed Munawar Hasan talked to Qazi Husain Ahmed by telephone and enquired about his welfare. He expressed deep gratitude to Almighty Allah for the safety of Qazi Sahib and the JI workers accompanying him.
Liaqat Baloch also contacted Qazi Husain Ahmed by telephone. Meanwhile, different religious and political leaders from within the country and abroad, have condemned the attack on the Qazi Husain Ahmed’ caravan and enquired about his welfare. These included Maulana Samiul Haq, Maulana Muhammad Ahmed Ludhyanvi, Pir Ejaz Hashmi and Allama Ibtesam Elahi Zaheer.
