Nawaz Sharif felicitates the new leadership of Communist Party

Lahore: President Pakistan Muslim League-N, and former Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has felicitated the Chinese people over the election of the new leadership of Communist Party of China. Muhammad Nawaz Sharif said that peaceful transfer of leadership to the new generation is a concrete proof of eternal unity of Chinese nation, reflecting intelligence and political maturity of the heads of the Communist Party.

Muhammad Nawaz Sharif said that PML-N has the honour of enjoying splendid and brotherly relations with the Communist Party of China, during the last many decades, and we congratulate them on this historic occasion. He said PML-N welcomes the new dynamic and far-sighted leadership of the Communist Party of China, whose founding leaders laid the foundation of long-lasting relations between the two countries. Muhammad Nawaz Sharif hoped that the great Chinese nation would continue its journey of success and achieve apogee under its new leadership. He said that strong mutual relations between both the countries are essential for maintenance of peace and tranquility in the region.

Muhammad Nawaz Sharif said that he is particularly happy that Mr. Xi Jinping has been elected as General Secretary of the Communist Party, and recalled that he had the honour of meeting him during his visit to Beijing, in January 2010. He said he hopes that, under the determined leadership of Mr. Xi Jinping, the long-lasting relationship between Pakistan and China would achieve new heights of progress and prosperity in mutual interest. Muhammad Nawaz Sharif said that he prays for the further success of the new leadership of China in the coming years and wishes them well.
