Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has succeeded to get accepted the important demands presented by Punjab in the Council of Common Interests for elimination of unjust loadshedding in Punjab.
During the meeting of Council of Common Interests presided over by Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf in Islamabad today, Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif expressed his views in detail about the problems being faced by Punjab with regard to loadshedding and demanded that the just distribution of electricity be ensured to all the provinces. The participants of Council of Common Interests accepted this demand presented by Chief Minister Punjab that 300 MW electricity grabbed from Punjab should be included in national grid system and this electricity be distributed judiciously among the provinces.
Chief Minister of Balochistan Sardar Aslam Raesani and Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Amir Haider Hoti, present in the meeting, seconded the viewpoint of Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif and termed it as based on the facts. The Chief Minister Punjab on this occasion said that just distribution of electricity is the constitutional and moral right of all the provinces. He expressed the hope that the early implementation of this decision of Council of Common Interests would be ensured.
