Minerals Department will construct a labour colony in Khushab

Lahore: Provincial Minister for Minerals, Ch. Abdul Ghafoor has said that Minerals Department will construct a labour colony consisting of 100 houses for mine workers in district Khushab where all basic facilities will be provided. He said that Mines Labour Colony will be set up at Padrar, District Khushab at a cost of Rs.236 million and 50 houses will be constructed in the first phase on which work will be started during the current year. He said that the project of Mines Rescue Area Substation Minara in District Chakwal is in the final stages of completion from where rescue services would soon be started. He said that this project has been completed at a cost of Rs.40 million.

Ch. Abdul Ghafoor said that Punjab government is taking all possible steps for the welfare of mine workers and more projects of workers welfare would be launched in future.
