Technical education is being provided to women at sanatzars

Lahore: Director General Social Welfare Punjab, Malik Muhammad Aslam has said that such skills are being taught to the women in sanatzars as could help increase their income for supporting their families.

He expressed these views while presiding over a high level meeting, here today. He said that women of all ages can get training in various skills in sanatzars under the aegis of Social Welfare Department. He said that the aim of these skills is to make women skillful as well as teaching them best utilization of their time. He said that sanatzars displayed an exemplary performance in Punjab Youth Festival. He said that more skills and disciplines will be introduced in sanatzars besides their products will be introduced at local and international level. He appreciated the performance of district sanatzars and said that they should introduce handicrafts prepared by their institutions in all the districts and encourage women. Director Admin Abdul Qudoos Akhtar, M Hanif, Hafiz Ikram and others were also present.
