Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that the . He said that the incapable federal rulers have committed record loot and corruption during the last four and a half years. He said that people will hold Zar Baba and 40 Thieves strictly accountable during the next general elections. The Chief Minister said that billions of rupees were looted in rental power projects. He said that those who pushed the country and the nation into darkness are not leaders but robbers. He said that the economy of the country has been ruined and everything would be clear in general elections. Shahbaz Sharif said that Muslim League-N has become the largest and most popular party of the country. He expressed the hope that the candidates of PML-N will win general elections with thumping majority under the dynamic leadership of Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.
He expressed these views while talking to Members Assembly belonging to various districts at Model Town, today. Shahbaz Sharif said that federal government is setting records of corruption whereas Punjab government is making records of public service. He said that our every step is aimed at welfare of the people and improving their living standard. The Chief Minister said that Punjab government of PML-N has promoted good governance, merit and transparency in the development projects during last four and a half years and people’s confidence is our success. Referring to the energy crises, Shahbaz Sharif said that Punjab government is pursuing a comprehensive programme for generating energy through its own resources. He said that positive results of his recent visit to Britain, Turkey and Germany are coming fore and agreements in energy sector are being made under mutual collaboration with these countries. He said that a solar energy agreement with a renowned German Company “AEG” is a welcoming step. He said that AEG is unparalleled in the field of solar technology as this company has been working in energy sector for the last 125 years. The Chief Minister said that after Germany, Turkish companies will also cooperate with Punjab in energy sector. He said that there is great potential in generating energy through solar, hydel and coal in Punjab and we are marching forward in energy sector by fully benefiting from it.
Those members assembly who called on the Punjab Chief Minister included Rana Shameem Ahmed Khan, Irfan Bashir Gujjar, Syed Muhammad Rafi-ud-Din Bukhari and Tahir Ahmed Sindhu. They apprised the Chief Minister of the progress of ongoing development projects in their respective areas. The Chief Minister stressed upon assembly members to personally review the pace of progress of public welfare development projects and not compromise on the quality of construction material.
