Lahore: Pakistan Medical Association has expressed their serious concern on the political pressure being applied by the Punjab Govt. on Police Department to delay and linger on the matter of the political murder case of 302 registered against the young doctors of Mayo hospital, Lahore. They have declared this case as a political case of victimization and appealed to the Chief Justice of Pakistan to take sue moto notice of the matter. These views were expressed at the executive committee meeting of PMA Lahore chaired by Dr. M. Tanveer Anwar at PMA House Lahore.
By an other resolution the association has expressed serious concerns on the delaying tactis being applied by the provincial government in resolving the matter of the service structure of the doctors. They said that due to the delay in the matter all medical institutions of Punjab were loosing their qualified medical teachers and senior consultants were leaving the govt. hospitals and moving over to private sectors which was infact affecting the poor patients. The association has appealed to the Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif to personally get involved in the matter and resolve it.
