Rescue1122 on emergency alert during Eid days

Lahore: The Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122), shall remain on emergency alert during Eid-ul-Azha in all 36 districts of Punjab. In this regard emergency vehicles shall be deputed at all major Eid congregations and sensitive areas along with trained emergency staff to provide immediate pre-hospital emergency cover if needed. Emergency Officers including trained doctors shall supervise the arrangements during Eid days.

The leaves of the rescuers have been restricted in these cities and they have been assigned special emergency duties to provide the emergency medical, rescue and fire fighting services to the citizens during Eid holidays.

In Lahore the Rescue 1122 staff shall remain on special duties in district control room, emergency rescue stations, 27 fully equipped emergency ambulances, 18 fire vehicles, 04 rescue vehicles, 1 recovery Vehicle, 1 water rescue vehicle and a Disaster Rescue Team.
Special mobile posts shall also be established for effectively providing medical cover to the public gatherings. Rescue posts shall be established at Fortress Stadium, Moon Market Gulshan-e-Ravi, Shahdara Rescue Station, Masjid Ibrahim, Walton Academy Ground, Shalimar Chowk, Masjid Jamia Anwar-e-Madina, Badshahi Masjid, Chuburgi, Jamia Naeemia, Minhaj-ul-Quran, Masjid-e-Shohda, Lala Zar Park, Jamia Ashrafia, Degree College Ground, Mansoora, Model Town Central Park, Rehmat-ul-Allalmin Park, B-Block Revenue Society, Moon Market Iqbal Town, Data Darbar, Main Gate Aitchison College, Qaddafi Stadium, Masjid Chowk, Niaz Baig Rescue Station, Model Town More, Outfall Road, Wapa House, Masjid-e-Khizra Mall road, Khalid Masjid Cavalry Ground, Punjab Assembly, Central Station Muslim Town More, Liberty and Lohari Rescue Station.

The Director General wished all the citizens a safe Eid Mubarik and advised to drive safely particularly while leaving to and returning from home during Eid holidays. He also requested citizens to immediately dial 1122 in case of emergency. Only timely call can ensure timely rescue, he added.
