Healthy children are our asset :Begum Zakia Shahnawaz

Lahore: Advisor to CM Punjab on Population Welfare and Special Education, Begum Zakia Shahnawaz has said that who can put the country on the road to progress and prosperity. She stressed upon the parents to take care of their children for their better future.

Begum Zakia Shahnawaz was addressing the Healthy Children Competition held under the auspices of Population Welfare Department in connection with Punjab Youth Festival 2012 at Expo Center, here today. She informed that this competition at provincial level was attended by children from nine districts of the province. She also stressed on health of mother and child so as to ensure healthy environment in the society. She applauded the efficiency of Population Welfare Department despite having scarcity of resources and funding for promotion of healthy competitions amongst children. Begum Zakia Shahnawaz also gave away prizes to the winning children on the occasion.
