Lahore:Guinness World records adjudicator Gareth Deaves was impressed with the enthusiasm shown by the youth of Punjab and he was amazed to see a big gathering of youth in National hockey stadium.
Gareth said: “It is a very important day for the people of Punjab and Pakistan as a big audience has gathered here to create new records in many event including singing of the national anthem and creation of Pakistan flag by the audience present in the arena.
Imran Javed, another representative of Guinness World Records, Deputy Speaker Punjab Assembly and chief organizer of the Punjab Youth Festival, Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, Director General, Sports Board Punjab, Usman Anwar and Haroon Ahmed Khan secretary sports.
Gareth and his partner was given standing ovation amid rousing applause from the crowd which welcomed their presence in the stadium on a day which will be long remembered in Pakistan history because of GWR team first time in the country on such a unique occasion.
Gareth said it was a memorable experience being in Pakistan and he was an amazing feeling to watch the presence of such a big crowd which was estimated around 70,000.He informed that the GWR has set a certain criteria in the creation of news record in different fields and it is the first time that people of Pakistan has taken GWR challenge which speak volume of their hard work and determination.
Gareth said GWR team is very impressed to see the enthusiasm of the people of Pakistan and he was glad to see the interest of people to attempt create new records for GWR.
Rana Mashood said the presence of a big gathering which is fully determined to create record for singing the national anthem will help in portraying the real image of Pakistan sending a positive massage to the outer world.“We are thrilled with the presence of a mammoth gathering in the stadium and it was Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif who gave a new vision to the youth of the Punjab by engaging them in healthy activities in the ongoing Punjab Youth Festival,” he said.“Our aim is to build a prosperous Pakistan and today we are here to tell the outer world that our youth is full of talent and potential to achieve their desired goals,” he said.
