Federal govt didn’t provide even single penny to us:DG Health Punjab

Lahore: Director General Health Punjab Dr. Nisar Cheema has said that the health departments of four provinces have conveyed their consent to the federal government to continue the purchase and provision of vaccine to the provinces like before for ensuring its continuous provision for the children.

Director General Health Punjab said that the federal government did not provide even single penny to the Punjab Health Department for the purchase of vaccine, therefore, question of returning of Rs.5 billion does not arise.

Dr. Nisar Cheema has said that the Health Department Punjab is purchasing vaccine for three months for buffer stock according to its requirements and the process is in the final stage. He said that the stock of the vaccine is available for the children in Punjab, therefore, the rumours in this regard are baseless.
