Lahore: Syed Nofil Kaleem (Pakistan) and Ahmed Mohammed (Bahrain) beat Koki (Japan) and Palm (Thailand) splendidly 6-3, 6-2 to clinch ATF under – 14 doubles event (second leg) finals at Nothanburi Tennis Centre, Thailand. The young lad and his partner convincing over whelmed their opponents through serve and volleys, aggressive forehand and deep play, fully overcoming flaws of Japanese/ Thai players.
Nofil have had a wonderful season where he won doubles in Sri Lanka, Thailand and won single title in Bangladesh. Talking to scribe, Nofil said it is his dream to represent Pakistan at top level in the world of Tennis.
Kamran Khalil, Nofil coach, was in all praised saying the boy has talent and on a given day can beat the best. The intensive tour to Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Thailand is likely to raised Nofil ranking from 15 in ATF to first five in ATF by close of year, a feat rarely achieved by any other Pakistani players in the recent decade.
