Plans to be continued for the welfare of the journalists:CH Pervaiz Elahi

Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League senior central leader and Deputy Prime Minister Ch Parvez Elahi has said that he would continue plans for the welfare and solution of the problems faced by the journalists community in future also like in the past, he is conscious of the fact that the journalists who are engaged in jehad with pen in the society face lots of problems and Ch Shujat Hussain would very soon ensure implementation of the insurance policy for the journalists at the govt. level.

This message of Ch Parvez Elahi was conveyed to the journalists’ bodies’ representatives delegation during the meeting by his Media Coordinator and Photo Journalists Association Lahore President Muhammad Iqbal Chaudhry.

The delegation included PFUJ President Shaukat Pervaiz, Jang Union President Nasir Chishti, APNEC former General Secretary APNEC Khalid Mahmud, Najam Saqib, Makhdoom Bilal, APNEC Chairman Nasir Naqvi and Vice-Chairman Babar Waseem. On this occasion, Iqbal Chaudhery hosted lunch in honour of the journalists’ bodies’ representatives on behalf of Ch Parvez Elahi.

Journalist’s bodies’ representatives while lauding the services for the journalists’ community by Ch Parvez Elahi said that establishing the Journalists Colonies in Rawalpindi, Lahore, Multan and other cities are ample proof of the works done for the welfare and well-being of the journalists. They expressed the hope that Ch Parvez Elahi would continue his mission to solve the problems of the journalists’ community in future also.
On this occasion, glowing tributes were paid to the veteran journalists and trade unionists Minhaj Barna and Nisar Ahmad Osmani through whose untiring efforts, dedication and commitment, the decision was taken to set up the Wage Board for the Journalists.
