Lahore: The Mansoora Degree College for Women on Tuesday, organized a seminar aimed at educating the students about the preventive measures against the dengue fever and its symptoms.
The seminar held at the Mansoora auditorium, was chaired by the Jamaat e Islami ( women wing) leader and former MNA, Dr Samiha Raheel Qazi.
Addressing the students, Dr Samiha Raheel Qazi said that every citizen would have to play his role in ensuring cleanliness and hygienic conditions in the society as government efforts in this regard could not suffice. Islam, she said, laid great emphasis on cleanliness and termed it half of Imaan. Filth and dirt drove people towards impurity and disease. By following the dictates and principles of Islam, one could not only earn Allah’s pleasure but also be secure against physical as well spiritual ailments.
Medical expert, Dr Shahana Mehmud, on the occasion, gave a detailed lecture on the symptoms of dengue fever, its prevention and treatment. She said that dengue fever was curable and instead of feeling panicky, one should fight it with a strong will power.
