Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that accusations against him of dual citizenship are baseless and contrary to the facts. He said, he would prove in the Supreme Court that he does not have citizenship of any other country except Pakistan. Talking to the journalists in German city of Berlin, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that the stance of Pakistan Muslim League-N regarding dual citizenship is very clear. He said that he is proud of being a Pakistani and if his dual citizenship was not proved in the court, those who are leveling allegations against him, should resign from their assembly seat. The Chief Minister said that Pakistan Muslim League-N has also been in the forefront of the movement for independence of judiciary, and has always accepted every decision of the court, and would continue to ensure implementation of the decisions of the independent judiciary in letter and spirit in future as well. He said he would prove in the court that he does not have dual citizenship and would appear in the Supreme Court whenever he was summoned. Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that Supreme Court has summoned him on 17th October and Insha Allah the whole matter would become crystal clear. He said the political opponents have leveled wrong and baseless allegations against him which would not be proved in the court of law.
