Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister, Shahbaz Sharif is leaving on a visit to Turkey, Britain and Germany on the morning of September 26 where he will hold talks with foreign authorities for investment in Punjab and cooperation in various sectors. Elected representatives and concerned provincial officers will also accompany the Chief Minister.
The purpose of Shahbaz Sharif’s visit to Turkey, Britain and Germany is to benefit from the experiences of these developed countries. The Chief Minister will start his visit from Turkey where he will attend the dinner of Turk businessmen in Ciragan Palace. The next day he will reach Turkish City of Wan where he will participate in the foundation stone laying ceremony of a hostel. He will distribute food packages in the village of Mr. Burhan Kayaturk.
Later, he will go to Ankara and hold meetings with Turk President, Prime Minister, Energy Minister and senior officials of Exam Bank. On next day, he will attend a briefing in Istanbul held for the purpose of resolving energy crisis in Punjab and will also visit Dolmabahce Palace. The Chief Minister along with his delegation, will visit Sapphire Mall and will attend a dinner with Turk businessmen in Baiti Restaurant. The next day, he will go to Istanbul and meet Mayor Istanbul Municipality, Kadir Topbas. The Chief Minister will also attend the annual meeting of Justice and Development Party in Ankara.
Later, Shahbaz Sharif will proceed on a visit to Britain where he will inform British investors about the investment climate in Punjab and the incentives being offered to foreign investors. The Chief Minister will visit King Solomon Academy in Britain and hold a meeting with the Minister for International Development. He would also hold meetings with the senior authorities of British Council while Punjab Investment Board and UK Chamber of Commerce will arrange a dinner. He will also attend the first session of Vice Chancellor Round Table in the Headquarters of British Council. Shahbaz Sharif will also meet British Foreign Secretary, Secretary Home, British political leader Baroness Saeeda Warsi and Lord Green as well as attend a business conference in Lancaster House in Peter Courtney. The Chief Minister will go to Germany from Britain where he will attend a meeting of German investment companies in energy sector and will call on German Federal Minister on Development.
Later, he will address an art exhibition in Institute of Cultural Diplomacy and attend a dinner with prominent German personalities. On the next day, Shahbaz Sharif will meet investment companies in energy sector at the headquarters of Federal German Association of Chamber of Commerce & Industry. He will meet German parliamentarians, experts and political think tanks at the headquarters of Konrad Adenauer Foundation. At the conclusion of visit, he will hold meeting with the President of Berlin Parliament at the Parliament Office.
