Lahore: Ambassador of Germany in Pakistan, Dr. Cyrill Nunn called on Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif in Islamabad on Tuesday evening and discussed bilateral relations and matters of mutual interest.
Talking to the German Ambassador, the Chief Minister said that he was looking forward to his visit to Germany as it will help in improving economic and bilateral relations between Germany and Pakistan. Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that there is vast scope of investment in Punjab for German investors and Punjab government will provide them maximum facilities. He said that Germany is the most important partner of Pakistan in East Europe and the main purpose of his visit is to review the possibilities of cooperation with Germany in energy sector. The Chief Minister said that Pakistan and Germany have deep-rooted friendly relations and Germany has helped Pakistan on various occasions.
The German Ambassador Dr. Cyrill Nunn said that his country is also waiting for the Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif’s visit. He said that German government can provide all necessary help to the German investors for investment in Punjab. He said that there are vast prospects of mutual cooperation between the two countries and trade relations can be further strengthened.
