Lahore: Director General Provincial Disaster Management Authority, Mujahid Sherdil has said that relief operation of flood affectees of Rajanpur and DG Khan will continue till their rehabilitation. He said that no hurdle would be tolerated in this regard. He further said that news items based on rumors will not slow down the relief activities being carried out for the flood affectees. He said that Punjab government has distributed 2480 metric tons, 233,830 bags, eatables including sugar, flour, ghee, pulses, mineral water and 8069 tents through 310 trucks.
He expressed these views while addressing a meeting held regarding provision of relief items to the flood affectees of DG Khan and Rajanpur. Mujahid Sherdil said that Punjab Chief Minister is personally monitoring the relief activities for the flood affectees and on his instructions edible essential items are being provided to the people besides the demand of local administration is also being fulfilled on the spot regularly. He said that so far 93270 ration packs, 36000 bags of rice, 37000 bags of flour, 15000 blankets, 8069 tents, 45000 mineral water bottles, 78 dewater pumps have been distributed among the flood affectees so far.
