Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Muhammad Habib-ur-Rehman expressed these views while addressing a farewell ceremony held in the honour of police officers relieved from the Punjab police at Central Police Office (CPO) today.
Three police officers relieved today including CTO Lahore Capt (retd) Syed Ahmed Mobin, DPO Nankana Syed Ashfaq Anwar, and PSO to IGP Fayyaz Ahmed Sumbal attended the ceremony while six other officers including SP Security Special Branch Punjab Shehzada Sultan, DPO Khushab Muhammad Azhar Akram, CTO Gujranwala Asghar Ali, SP Special Branch Punjab Ahmed Nawaz, Additional-SP (Investigations) City Lahore Muhammad Anwar Khetran, and Muhammad Mukhtar, awaiting posting, could not participate in the ceremony because of some personal reasons.
Addl: IGP, Punjab, Malik Khuda Bakhsh Awan, Addl: IG Welfare and Finance, Sarmad Saeed Khan, Addl: IG PHP, Khan Baig, Addl: IG Training, Mubarik Ali Athar, DIG Operations, Punjab, Sohail Khan, DIG Headquarters Punjab Muhammad Amlish, Consultant Police Training College Lahore Maj (retd) Mubashar Ullah, AIG (Operations) Shehzad Sultan, AIG Legal Ehsan Ullah Bajwa, AIG Vigilance Sajjad Hassan Khan Manj, AIG (Admin) Suhail Akhter Sukhera, AIG Development Tariq Abbas Qureshi, , AIG Discipline, Abdul Qadir Qayyum, AIG Finance Saad Akhter Bharwana, AIG Logistics, Raja Riffat Mukhtar, AIG (Welfare) Ahmed Kamal, AIG (Inspection) Khalida Khurshid, sp-Legal Qamar-uz-Zaman, and Director Computer Bureau Miss Shaheen Khalid were also present on this occasion.
The provincial police chief said that the police officers, who are an asset of the department, are being relieved from the province on the directions of the government and on the orders of the Supreme Court of Pakistan and their services would always be remembered. The IGP also prayed for their success in future.
CTO Lahore Capt (retd) Syed Ahmed Mobin said that since he served in the Punjab police throughout his career, he developed affiliation with the Punjab police. On this occasion, PSO to IGP Fayyaz Ahmed Sumbal said that his first very posting was in Balochistan province though had also served in Sindh and Punjab provinces. He further said that it would be an honour for him to serve in his hometown once again and he would leave no stone unturned to fulfil his obligations.
DPO Nankana Syed Ashfaq Anwar said that he would utilise the experiences he had learnt while serving in the Punjab province during his service in Balochistan. Meanwhile, the IGP gave shields to the officers who are relieved
