Lahore: Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has said that the popularity of Pakistan Muslim League-N is not only increasing in Punjab but throughout the country and its candidates will win with a thumping majority in the next general elections as PML-N has solved the problems of the masses during the last four and a half years and implemented a number of programs for their welfare and betterment. Therefore, he said, Muslim League-N today is more popular in the people as compared to its rival political parties.
He was talking to assembly members of various districts here today. The Chief Minister said that it has revealed in the recent Gallup survey that not only support of Pakistan Muslim League-N but the popularity of its president Muhammad Nawaz Sharif is also growing which is a proof of the fact that masses like PML-N and its leadership and vote for its candidates in the forthcoming elections as a result of which PML-N will form its governments all over the country and new records of public service will be set. He said that due to revolutionary development programs initiated by PML-N government during the last four and a half years, a network of welfare oriented projects has been laid throughout the province. He said that contrary to loot and corruption of the dictatorial era, a new culture of transparency and merit has been introduced in the execution of development schemes. He said that PML-N does not need a certificate from anyone as the confidence of the masses is enough for it. He said that due to inefficiency, corruption and nepotism of the federal government people are still facing the worst load-shedding even after four and a half years and lakhs of people have been rendered jobless while national institutions are being destroyed through loot and corruption. He said that Ali Baba and 40 Thieves have made the Pakistan which is rich in natural resources a beggar country while national sovereignty has also been put at stake by the incompetent rulers only for few pennies. He said that Zardari mafia has not concerned with the problems of the people and the whole gang is engaged in loot and plunder. He said that the people are not ready to tolerate corrupt rulers any longer and will hold Zardari gang accountable as criminal negligence has been shown to the solution of their problems.
The Chief Minister said that PML-N government does not believe in power only for the sake of power but considers it as a means of serving the masses. He said that Muslim League-N government has taken hard decisions for the welfare of the people and even its critics cannot point a finger to it as it has promoted transparency and merit in every sector. He said that corruption and malpractices have been rooted out through promotion of good governance all over the province. He said that under a comprehensive strategy revolutionary changes have been brought about in education, health, infrastructure and other sectors. He said that Punjab government is taking lead in the provision of maximum facilities to the masses. The Chief Minister said that the party workers who rendered sacrifices during dictatorial era are a precious asset and upholding of their respect and honour is his responsibility. He said that genuine problems of the workers will be resolved on priority basis. He vowed that the country will be put on the road to progress and prosperity under the leadership of PML-N President Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and such a Pakistan will be built where there is predominance of constitution, law and justice and equal opportunities of progress are available to all citizens.
