Islamabad: Human Appeal International-Pakistan (HAI-Pak) has launched its Emergency Relief Operation in Dera Ghazi Khan and donated dry food packages and tent (temporary shelters) in Abdullah Town and Basti Sheikhan.
HAI-Pak was the first NGO to respond this catastrophe by engaging its Emergency Relief Department immediately.
Abdullah Town is the flood sickened area of Dera Ghazi Khan. Majority of the people here are deprived of humanly luxuries. Houses are made of mud and clay though very few of them are made of concrete bricks. Most of the people do labor in local markets, some are employees while few owns their small businesses like tuc-shops, fruit/vegetable carts etc.

Basti Sheikhan is the slum area of Dera Ghazi Khan. Houses are made of mud and clay and only concrete building of the area is of local mosque. Most of the residents are sanitary workers and others do labor in local markets.
