Lahore: Secretary Women Development Department Ms. Irum Bukhari has said that capacity building of the GRAP officers is essential for the effective working of government machinery and efficient implementation of the Punjab Women Economic Empowerment Package 2012.

She was addressing a two-day training session organized at Project Management Unit Gender Reform Action Plan Lahore, here today. The purpose of the training session was to equip officers with effective reporting techniques and methodologies required. Project Director Sajjad Haider Sipra highlighted the objectives and purpose of the training session and the importance of communication and projection of the activities through reporting. He appreciated the role of GRAP regarding the well-organized activities conducted during dengue eradication campaign and said that the officers would be awarded commendatory certificates and shields in acknowledgement of their performance.

Fifty officers from Project Management Unit, Gender Mainstreaming Units, Gender Support Unit and Career Development Center attended the workshop. Deputy Director Coordination Anees Chaudhry, Waheed Iqbal, Umar Farooq Ch. Rana Shahid, Umer Farooq Ahmed were also present on the occasion.
