Steps to be taken for the disposal of rainy water:Mian Marghoob directs the administration

Lahore: Chairman Town Emergency Response Committee and Member National Assembly, Mian Marghoob Ahmad has directed the Town Administration, Samanabad to make special arrangement for the disposal of rainy water accumulated in graveyards and schools in the vicinity of town.

He was presiding over a high-level meeting regarding dengue elimination in Samanabad Town, here on Friday. All officers of Samanabad Town and concerned departments were present on this occasion. Mian Marghoob said that owners of educational institutes should make arrangements for spray on Sunday (holiday) to curb dengue so as to protect students. He warned that stern action would be taken against those educational institutes who conduct spray in presence of students.

Mian Marghoob asked the officers to make frequent visits of the graveyards alongwith the entomologist and other staff and ensure the elimination of dengue larva from graveyards. He directed the staff of Auqaf Department deputed in graveyards and sextons to be vigilant and report to complaint cell of the town in case of accumulated water so that disposal of stagnant water could be ensured, as early as possible.
