Dengue master distributes dengue kits

Lahore: Member Provincial Assembly Haji Allah Rakha has said that, on the directive of Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, anti-dengue campaign is continuing vigorously, and public awareness at street and mohallah level is being created in this regard. He said that entomologists and lady health workers are visiting door to door to check larvae and create awareness about dengue virus.

He expressed these views while talking to the notables of the area at Union Council 48 Ramgarh’s Main Bazaar at Aziz Bhatti Town while distributing pamphlets and dengue kits, here today. Coordinators Master Muhammad Aslam, Sheikh Muhammad Asif, Sheikh Adil Saleem, Syed Shahsawar, General Secretaries Malik Muhammad Sharif, Sheikh Imran, President Main Bazaar Ramgarh Hameed Khan Kakar, Chairman Zakat Committee Rana Khalid, political workers, entomologists, lady health workers and a large number of notables of the area were present on the occasion.

Haji Allah Rakha said that elected representatives and political workers and coordinators are vigorously participating in anti dengue campaign due to which a great deal of awareness has been created among the general public and no dengue case has been reported from the area. He hoped that all officials would continue to perform with similar zeal and the day is not far off when dengue virus would be uprooted.

On the occasion, Haji Allah Rakha distributed pamphlets, anti- dengue kits and provided information relating to dengue virus at homes and shops. He also inspected some houses, accompanied by entomologists and lady health workers, however, no dengue larvae was found in any house upon which he praised the people and appreciated the efforts of political workers and officials of concerned departments. He said that as a result of timely steps by the government, people are satisfied and are extending their help in checking their houses. Haji Allah Rakha advised the citizens to adopt preventive measures against dengue virus, ensure sanitation of their houses and surroundings, keep water utensils covered and do not let water accumulate inside or outside their house as it will help in complete eradication of dengue virus.

Later, Haji Allah Rakha visited Government Millat High School at Moghalpura and distributed pamphlets and informed the students about anti dengue measures.
