Lahore: Chairman Samanabad Town Emergency Response Committee and Member National Assembly Mian Marghoob Ahmad has called upon all officers and officials participating in ongoing anti-dengue public awareness campaign to continue their activities in a vigorous manner, in the light of the experience of the previous year so that the government efforts to eliminate dengue could prove successful.
He was presiding over a special meeting at Samanabad Town held in connection with the anti-dengue day. Administrator, TMO and officers of other concerned departments were also present. Mian Marghoob Ahmad said that all officers must perform their responsibility and instead of sitting in offices should take practical steps against dengue. An anti-dengue walk from Samanabad Town office to the Gol Chakkar was also arranged on the occasion, which was led by Mian Marghoob Ahmad. Men and women of all segments of society of life participated in a large number in the walk to create awareness among the masses.
Later, Mian Marghoob Ahmad visited the Union Councils of Samanabad Town and distributed anti dengue and preventive measures pamphlets, brochures and other material among the citizens by paying door to door visits. He stressed that dengue larvae ought to be eradicated before it became a mosquito in order to overcome dengue virus.
