PLGD constitute 15 special teams for destroying dengue larva

Lahore: Punjab Local Government Department has completed the process of constituting 15 special teams for destroying the dengue larva and carrying out spray at all CNG stations, patrol pumps and 7083 suspect places of dengue larva.

A training workshop has been arranged for the Incharge Officers and Members of Special Teams of Local Government Department at Jinnah Hall which was presided over by Director General Local Government Nadeem Aslam Chaudhary. Additional Secretary Local Government Raja Jehangir Anwar told that pest engineers have been especially included in 15 teams constituted for nine towns by the Local Government Department which will select the procedure and medicines for eradication of dengue larva according to the situation. He informed that special teams have been assigned the task of elimination of dengue larva at all CNG stations, patrol pumps, and 7083 places of junk yards, basements, under construction, vacant and unused buildings and transport, smart phone, digital cameras and protective kits have been provided to them. He said that these special teams will also destroy the wild bushes and grass so that the chances of breeding of dengue larva could be eliminated.

Incharge Chief Minister’s Programme for Anti-Dengue Dr. Waseem, dengue experts Dr. Asif, Dr. Shabbir and Director General Local Government Nadeem Aslam also addressed the workshop and directed the members of the special teams to adopt all kinds of preventive measures.
