Lahore: Chairman Dengue Response Committee Shalimar Town, Pervez Malik MNA has said that dengue day programme will start at 09,00 a.m. on September 02. A documentary film regarding anti dengue will be shown in the office of TMA Shalamar Town, he added. The message of Punjab Chief Minister will be read out on the occasion and a dengue seminar would also be held. Later on, a dengue rally would be taken out from Shalimar Road which will conclude at Shalamar Chowk after passing through Sehr Road, Graveyard Hafizpura, GT Road, Leather Market, Aik Moria Pul, Shadbagh, Amer Road, China Scheme, Sher Shah Road, Boghiwal road and College Road.
He expressed these views while presiding over a meeting here today which was also attended by MPA Ch. Shahbaz Ahmad, Political Assistant to CM, Hafiz Kamran Kafeel, Administrator / Assistant Commissioner Shahid Hassan Kalyani, Deputy DO Education Agha Ibne Saood and officers of other departments. Pervez Malik said that the main aim of dengue day is to create awareness among the masses for protection from dengue and participation of maximum number of people in the campaign of Punjab government as government measures cannot be result-oriented unless people will not keep their environment clean and adopt preventive measures against dengue. He emphasized upon all the departments to take active part in anti-dengue day alongwith Chief Minister Punjab on September 02, to defeat dengue. MPA Ch. Shahbaz said that government departments, political workers and a large number of people will be with us tomorrow and the mission of dengue eradication will be completed with their active participation. Shahid Kalyani informed about the details regarding preparations of the departments in the war against dengue.
