Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that speedy implementation on roads and other mega development projects in Punjab should be ensured and no compromise be made on the quality of these projects. He said that provision of travelling and other basic facilities to the people will be possible through timely completion of roads and other development projects and they will also be provided relief in this way.
He was presiding over a review meeting regarding implementation on construction of roads and other projects in the province, in Punjab House Rawalpindi today. Quartermaster General Lt. General Sajjad Ghani, Chairman Planning and Development Department Javed Aslam, Secretary Finance Tariq Bajwa, Secretary Communication and Works Maj. (Retd.) Azam Suleman Khan, Director General NLC and other concerned officials attended the meeting. During the meeting, implementation on roads and other development projects through NLC was reviewed.
Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that government has implemented speedily on the development projects in rural and urban areas of the province and equal attention is also being paid to the backward areas along with big cities with regard to development works. He said that present government has transformed the graveyards of the corruption of the previous government into minarets of development in Punjab. He further said that soon a final shape will be given to execution of roads and development projects through NLC in the province.
