Lahore : The Australian Senate President Senator John Hogg, the Australian High Commissioner to Pakistan with a high level delegation of Members of Parliament called on Pakistan Tehreek-i- Insaaf’s Central Information Secretary Shafqat Mahmood at the central media secretariat today.
Welcoming the delegation Shafqat Mahmood appreciated the delegation’s resolve for strengthening relations between the two countries. This was followed by healthy and productive discussions about the challenges that faced Pakistan and PTI’s stance to bring about change with policies that will rebuild Pakistan. Shafqat also condoled the death of the five Australian soldiers in Afghanistan.
Senator John Hogg and his colleagues appreciated the party Chairman Imran Khan’s views and position taken on relevant issues. He said the delegates were aware of the ground realities faced by the country and the discussion progressed on the prevalent economic and social conditions faced by Pakistan and Australia’s view on the war on terror.
Saniya Sajid briefed the delegates about the Chairman’s stand on uniting the nation, his stand on non violence and sectarian policies by giving an account of the PTI jalsa in Quetta.
Talath Naqvi briefed the delegates about the challenges faced by nation and the role the PTI women are determined to play to alter the existing status quo.
