Lahore: Director General Provincial Disaster Management Authority, Mujahid Sherdil has said that flow of water has increased in some rivers and hill torrents as a result of monsoon rains. He said that flow of water increased in Nullah Dake at Qala Ahmadnagar Narowal where water flow was 17,000 cusecs and has starting decreasing.
He said that due to wrong reporting, people have to face inconvenience at this place. He said that neither any loss was occurred due to water of the Nullah nor any hurdle was created in the flow of traffic. He said that the local administration has completed all arrangements in view of the situation.
He said that flow of water in Nullah Bein at Shakrgarh was also increased, which was 3905 cusecs while flow of water in River Chenab at Marala was 120816 cusecs and water was increasing at this place. Mujahid Sherdil said that this process of monsoon rains is temporary while other rivers and hill torrents are flowing normal in the province.
Meanwhile,Flood Warning Center has said that there is a medium flood in Nullah Bein at Shakrgarh, water level is 880 cusecs and flow of water is 3905 cusecs which is continuously increasing.
There is a low flood in River Chenab at Marala, water level is 804 cusecs and flow of water is 120816 cusecs which is increasing.
