Lahore: Chief Secretary Punjab, Nasir Mehmood Khosa presided over a high level meeting at Civil Secretariat to review flood situation and flow of water in rivers and rainwater channels in the province. Secretaries of Home, Finance, Irrigation, Communication & Works and Information departments, Director Provincial Disaster Management Authority and other concerned officers were present.
Addressing the meeting, the Chief Secretary said that rivers and rainwater courses throughout the province are being monitored round the clock and all arrangements have been finalized for coping with any untoward situation. He said that divisional and district administration is fully alert in this regard. The meeting was informed that all rivers are normal and there is no emergent situation anywhere in the province.
