Nawaz Sharif is the most popular leader among overseas Pakistanis :Javaid Malik

Lahore:President Pakistan Muslim League (N) and former Prime Minister of Pakistan Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif continues to remain the most popular among overseas Pakistanis just like he is the most popular leader inside Pakistan. This was stated by Javed Malik, Advisor International Relations to the President PMLN, while speaking at the PML (N) International Convention in Europe which was chaired by Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, President PML-N. Javed Malik said that the overseas Pakistani community remembers very well that it was under the tenure of Nawaz Sharif that the first Overseas Pakistanis Conference was held in Pakistan, green channels were opened where Pakistanis living abroad could come home with the respect and dignity. Nawaz Sharif also initiated the economic reforms, and good governance initiatives which were greatly responsible for inflow of foreign investments. He said that Muhammad Nawaz Sharif considers the Overseas Pakistanis an important asset for Pakistan and has taken it upon himself to personally engage with the Pakistanis living overseas so that he can understand their issues and give them a meaningful role in the nation building process. Javed Malik said that the overseas Pakistani community has responded very positive to these initiatives, and welcomed the PML-N President Nawaz Sharif warmly in United Arab Emirates where a high profile gathering of Pakistani Businessmen and Professionals expressed their solidarity and support with PML-N. Similarly in Germany Mohammad Nawaz Sharif was welcomed by thousands of Overseas Pakistanis. Former President PTI was also among them who has now joined the PML-N. Nawaz Sharif also spoke at a community gathering in London.

Speaking about the recent initiative, Advisor to Nawaz Sharif on International Relations said that the warm welcome accorded by Overseas Pakistanis to the Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif where ever he went is a clear proof of the fact that he is equally popular in and outside the country. He said that overseas Pakistanis have pinned all their hopes on him to lead the country to its rightful place, as a prosperous, progressive and democratic Pakistan”.
