PM orders supply of water from Mirani Dam to Gwadar

Quetta:Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf has directed to make arrangements to supply water from Mirani Dam to Gwadar besides increasing capacity of Ankra Dam Gwadar. He said this in a briefing given by Pakistan Navy officials delegation who called on him at Governor House Balochistan here on Friday. The Pakistan Navy delegation told the Prime Minister that short term and long term plans have been devised to resolve water crisis of coastal town of Gwadar and other areas of Makran division.The Prime Minster asked the Pakistan Navy to prepare feasibility report on purposed projects to provide water to Gwadar.He said the federal government wants resolution of water issue of Gwadar on permanent basis.He ordered to install water plant in Hammer Head area of Gwadar.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf directed that senior officials of law enforcement agencies, with good reputation, be posted in Balochistan in order to improve the law and order situation. Presiding over a meeting on law and order situation, the Prime Minister said,”There should be integrated team work among the Balochistan government institutions and law enforcement agencies to maintain law and order and restore peace in the province.”
