Lahore:Korean Ambassador to Pakistan, Mr. Choong Joo Choi called on Punjab Chief Minister, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, here today. Various matters of mutual interest, including cooperation in the fields of agriculture, energy, transport and other sectors came under discussion. Deputy Head of Mission, Mr. Cho Koo Rae, Korean Consul General Syed Shahid Ali, Special Assistant Zaeem Hussain Qadri, Vice Chairman Punjab Investment Board and Secretary Energy were also present during the meeting.
Talking to the Korean Ambassador, the Chief Minister said that there is a wide scope of investment in Punjab, in the sectors of agriculture, energy, transport and other areas, and it would be a matter of great satisfaction if the Korean companies invested in the province. The Chief Minister pointed out that currently Pakistan is facing serious energy crisis and the skill of Korean companies in this field would be of great significance. He said Punjab can overcome its energy crisis with Korean cooperation.
Meanwhile,the representative of World Food Programme, Jaen Luc Siblot called on the Punjab Chief Minister, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif at his Tent Office, here today. During the meeting, various issues regarding food security, school feeding programme and other activities of the institution came under discussion.
